Fire broke out in the garage of a northwest Las Vegas home early Friday, June 17, 2022, according to Las Vegas Fire & Rescue officials. Eleven people were displaced, officials said.

Three people were taken to a hospital as a precaution today after a house fire that displaced 11 people, Las Vegas Fire & Rescue officials said.

The fire was reported about 3 a.m. in the 3300 block of Crystal Tower Street in the Northwest Las Vegas, officials said.

The fire apparently started in the garage, where a vehicle was destroyed, and spread to two other vehicles in the driveway, officials said.

The fire was mainly confined to the garage, but the rest of the two-story house sustained smoke damage, officials said. Firefighters put out the blaze in about 30 minutes, officials said.

Two occupants of the house were taken to a hospital to be checked for minor smoke inhalation, officials said. A firefighter was also taken to the hospital after complaining of chest pain, officials said.

Firefighters rescued three dogs from the home unharmed, official said.

The American Red Cross was providing assistance to seven adults and four children who live at the house, officials said.

The cause of the fire was under investigation, officials said. A damage estimate was not immediately available.
