Overnight fire damages vacant building near Las Vegas Strip

The roof of a vacant building collapsed during an overnight fire just northeast of the Strip, Las Vegas Fire & Rescue officials said.

No injuries were reported, officials said.

The fire was reported about 1:40 a.m. in the 2000 block of Paradise Road, just north of Sahara Avenue, officials said.

Flames were coming through the roof of the one-story building, officials said. The bulk of the fire was knocked down within and hour, officials said.

The cause of the blaze was under investigation, officials said. A damage estimate was not provided.
