Metro police arrest suspect in Las Vegas fatal stabbing

Metro Police have arrested a man in a stabbing death last month in Las Vegas, according to a news release.

Guillermo Carrillo, 41, was detained Saturday and booked into the Clark County Detention Center for open murder with a deadly weapon, police stated.

Police initially responded to a report of the fatal stabbing the night of Oct. 2 in the 1800 block of Pacific Street, according to police.

The victim was allegedly stabbed in an altercation over an ongoing property dispute before the suspect fled the scene. The victim was transported by medical personnel to Sunrise Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
