A man was died after a vehicle collision this afternoon in southwest Las Vegas, according to a release from Metro Police.
The crash occurred at the intersection of South Rainbow Boulevard and West Windmill Lane shortly after 1:30 p.m., the release stated.
A 2022 Chevrolet Silverado pickup was traveling south on Rainbow approaching Windmill. Meanwhile, a 2020 Nissan Rogue was coming from the opposite direction. The Nissan turned left as the pickup entered the intersection, causing a frontal collision, according to the release.
The Nissan’s driver, a 74-year-old man, was transported to UMC Trauma in critical condition and died of his injuries shortly after his arrival, the release stated.
The pickup’s driver and his passenger, a 6-year-old boy both suffered minor injuries, police stated.
