Passenger killed in crash involving ‘65 Corvette in Las Vegas

A passenger of a vehicle involved in a collision was killed today in northwest Las Vegas, according to a Metro Police news release.

At about 11:45 a.m., a Nissan Rogue was traveling north on North Durango Drive and attempting to turn left onto Brent Lane, when it collided with a 1965 Chevrolet Corvette carrying a passenger traveling in the opposite direction on Durango, the release stated.

Responding emergency medical services transported both drivers and the Corvette’s passenger to UMC Trauma for treatment for their injuries.

The Corvette’s passenger, who was 74, succumbed to her injuries and was pronounced dead at the hospital, according to the release.

The 84-year-old driver of the Nissan was also listed in serious condition. The injuries to the Corvette’s driver were listed as minor.
