A Metro Police crime scene analyst takes photos at the scene of a fatal crash involving three vehicles on the southbound Airport Connector, just east of Harry Reid International Airport, Thursday, April 20, 2023.

A motorist was declared dead after the SUV he was driving crossed into oncoming traffic and collided with two other vehicles, according to Metro Police.

The crash happened about 5:45 a.m. today on Paradise Road, south of Russell Road, police said.

The SUV was headed north on Paradise when it crossed the center median into the southbound lanes and collided with a car and a pickup truck, police said. The SUV overturned, police said.

The drivers of all three vehicles were taken to Sunrise Hospital and Medical Center, police said.

The driver of the SUV, a 60-year-old Henderson man, was pronounced dead, police said. The other two drivers suffered minor injuries and were released from the hospital, police said.

The death will not be counted as a traffic fatality until the Clark County Coroner’s Office completes an investigation, police said.
