Police: Las Vegas woman hit by motorcycle, critically injured

A woman suffered critical injuries Monday when she was hit by a motorcycle while crossing a street in downtown Las Vegas, according to Metro Police.

The incident happened about 6 p.m. on Bonanza Road, east of City Parkway, police said.

The pedestrian, a 29-year-old Las Vegas woman, was crossing the street outside of a marked crosswalk when she was struck, police said. She was taken to University Medical Center with life-threatening injuries, police said.

The motorcyclist, a 26-year-old Las Vegas man, suffered minor injuries, police said. He remained at the scene and did not show any signs of impairment, police said.

The incident remains under investigation, police said.
