Police: Woman found shot to death at Las Vegas home

A woman was found dead with an apparent gunshot wound Sunday evening at a home in Las Vegas, according to Metro Police.

Metro received a report about 5:35 p.m. Sunday of an unresponsive woman in a residence in the 200 block of North 17th Street, near downtown Las Vegas, police said.

The woman was pronounced dead at the scene, police said.

The woman lived at the home and was shot by an unknown person, police said.

The Clark County Coroner’s Office will release the victim’s name, police said.

Police said the investigation was ongoing, and no additional details were released.
