A teenager was killed in a motorcycle crash in northwest Las Vegas on Friday, according to a Metro Police news release.
According to reports from the scene, at about 2 p.m., the 17-year-old rider was traveling south on Grand Montecito Parkway approaching West Deer Springs Way when he failed to maintain control around a curve. The motorcycle went off-road, ejecting the rider and causing him to collide with a palm tree.
The rider was transported to UMC Trauma where he succumbed to his injuries and pronounced dead.
