Las Vegas police: Man killed in shooting at apartment

A man was killed and another wounded in a shooting incident at a Las Vegas apartment, but no arrests were announced, according to Metro Police.

The shooting was reported about 9:40 p.m. Tuesday in the 2200 block of North Torrey Pines Drive, police said.

Officers found a man inside the apartment with an apparent gunshot wound, police said. Medics pronounced him dead at the scene, police said.

While at the apartment, officers were notified that another male with at a nearby hospital with nonlife-threatening injuries, police said. Police did not describe the nature of the injuries.

Detectives determined the second male was related to the shooting incident at the apartment, police said. They also learned several people, including both victims, were in the apartment at the time of the shooting, police said.

Everyone related to the incident was gone by the time officers arrived, police said.

The Clark County Coroner’s Office will release name of the man killed in the shooting, police said.

The investigation was ongoing, police said.
