ABC11 in Raleigh, N.C., is reporting that the IndyCar Series will announce its entire 2009 schedule on Wednesday, but the Las Vegas Motor Speedway will not be a part of it.
Indy Racing League officials said last month they were interested in ending the 2009 season at LVMS, but an agreement couldn't be worked out.
"We will continue to keep the Las Vegas facility on our radar screen for the future," IRL vice president John Griffin told ABC11. "We have open lines of communication with them."
