In this photo taken Wednesday, May, 17, 2017, Toronto Blue Jays Kevin Pillar (11) looks on as both benches empty onto the field after he exchanged words with Atlanta Braves relief pitcher Jason Motte (30) in the seventh inning of a baseball game, in Atlanta. Pillar has been suspended two games for yelling an anti-gay slur at a Braves pitcher.

We’re entering the fourth season of the annual South Point-lined Play of the Day competition, effective July 1.

Starting bankrolls have reset to $10,000, with the maximum bet being to win $1,000 and the minimum wager $300. Ray Brewer won back-to-back titles in the 2015-2016 and 2016-17 seasons, after Taylor Bern prevailed in 2014-2015.

Toronto Blue Jays plus-170 at Boston Red Sox: $500 to win $850: When these two teams met last week, the Red Sox swept a three-game series in Toronto to move to 76-57 on the season. But the Sox have done an about-face since then, dropping three of four to the New York Yankees and losing the first of another three-game set to Toronto on Monday night. The problem for Boston has been the bats — the offense has scored just 13 runs in those five games (2.6 runs per game). So, I like Blue Jays starter Marco Estrada tonight, even though he has been bad for most of this season (7-8, 5.23 ERA, 1.45 WHIP).

With the Sox struggling to score, I like the potential payout for the underdog Blue Jays. Let's hope the Boston bats stay silent for another night at least.

Current Standings: Granger (6-6, $11,595), Keefer (7-4-1, $11,185), Grimala (2-1, $10,595), Brewer (6-7, $8,660)
