Journeying to the Westgate Las Vegas Superbook to unload a bankroll on Super Bowl propositional wagers is an annual rite of passage for local sports bettors.
A congregation consisting mostly of the world’s top football gamblers was the first to take part in the ritual Thursday night when the Superbook released its selection of more than 1,000 ways to bet Super Bowl 53. Plenty more will partake in the activity before the Los Angeles Rams and New England Patriots face off on Feb. 3 in Atlanta.
The professionals, equipped with more than enough cash to bet at $2,000 opening limits, didn’t come unprepared. And neither should anyone else.
