The Las Vegas Tropicana hotel-casino last week announced the appointment of Lee Ann Groff-Daudet as vice president of entertainment.

“Lee Ann brings an expansive working knowledge to her position at Tropicana Las Vegas; including experience in production management, casting, broker relations, sales and marketing,” Tropicana Las Vegas President Thomas McCartney said in a statement. “We are thrilled to have someone with her vast expertise on the Tropicana Las Vegas team.”

The Tropicana said Groff-Daudet has more than two decades of entertainment and production experience. Previous employers include Blue Man Group, The Colorado Actors’ Theater, Columbia Pictures and Twentieth Century Fox. Most recently, she worked as a public relations and marketing consultant servicing retail and entertainment clients.

Groff-Daudet holds a bachelor of arts degree in theater from Smith College and studied at the Institut d’Art et Architecture and Sciences Politiques in Paris, France. She speaks fluent French and is proficient in Spanish, Italian and German.

Nancy Gregory, who had been named vice president of entertainment on Aug. 28, is now serving as a consultant to the company, a spokeswoman said Monday.
