Police seek help finding man in attempted kidnapping case

Attempted kidnapping

Metro Police today are asking for the public's help in finding a man who they say tried to kidnap a woman Saturday morning in the northeast valley.

A woman reported to police that she was walking her dog at 9 a.m. Saturday in the area of Hollywood Boulevard and Carey Avenue when she was accosted by a man. The woman was eventually able to break away from the man, police said.

The woman reported seeing the man driving through the neighborhood before the attack in a white 2004-2006 Dodge Durango. He was described as white, in his 20s and about 5-foot-9 or 5-foot-10-inches tall, weighing 180 to 190 pounds. He was wearing a white tank top with plaid shorts and had a tattoo on his left forearm.

Police are asking anyone with information to call sexual assault detectives at 828-3307 or Crime Stoppers at (702) 385-5555.
