House fire
Henderson firefighters extinguished a blaze Sunday morning that caused about $50,000 in damage to a home near Gibson and Sunset roads.
The Henderson Fire Department received a call about 4:56 a.m. reporting a fire in a home at 733 Rustic Desert, fire officials said.
When firefighters responded, they found fire and smoke coming from the front door of a two-story residence. They conducted a search and found no one inside.
The blaze was brought under control within five minutes, the fire department said.
Damage was confined to the first floor, near the front entrance. The home was vacant and no firefighters were injured.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
