A limited number of tickets to attend President Barack Obama’s inauguration in January are being made available to Nevadans through Sen. Harry Reid’s office.
Each U.S. senator’s office will be given a limited number of tickets to distribute, and Reid’s office on Dec. 10 will conduct a lottery drawing open only to Nevada residents.
Tickets to the Jan. 21 swearing-in ceremony are free, but winners must pay their own way to Washington, D.C.
Online requests — information is available in English and Spanish — must be submitted by Dec. 7.
In a similar lottery, Reid's office gave out fewer than 100 tickets for Obama's first inauguration in 2008, spokeswoman Kristen Orthman said.
