Lifting weights, talking trash and introducing yourself

Las Vegas Sun sports reporters Ray Brewer and Case Keefer dish on all things Las Vegas high school football again this week. Among the debates, other than the usual picks segment, are whether it's acceptable for an NFL player to introduce his high school alma mater instead of his college.

Ugly victories still count.

That was the saving grace for Legacy Friday night, as the Longhorns evened their record at 3-3 with a 20-7 win over Bonanza.

“We didn’t play particularly well,” Legacy coach Dave Snyder said. “We probably should have scored a couple more touchdowns. It could have been better, but we made some mistakes.”

Legacy continued to lean on Charles Julian, as the running back further impressed in his senior season. Julian ran for 150 yards and two touchdowns, including one he broke loose from 55 yards out.

Quarterback Kashawn Richardson was also efficient against the Bengals. Although he had two touchdown passes called back for penalties, the senior had several completions.
