51s’ win streak now at 5 games after extra-inning win in Fresno

The Las Vegas 51s' fifth consecutive victory came in dramatic fashion Sunday.

Trailing by one run and down to their final out at the Fresno Grizzlies, Brian Bixler ripped a double to score Rylan Sandoval from first base and force extra innings. The 51s won in the 10th, 3-2.

In the 10th, Josh Satin singled and advanced to second an error. Jamie Hoffmann plated Satin with a double for the game-winner.

David Aardsma recorded the final three Fresno outs in the bottom of the 10th for the save. The winning streak has Las Vegas (29-26) just two games out of first place behind Sacramento in the Pacific Coast League's Pacific Southern Division. In the streak, Las Vegas has given up just five runs in five games.

Sandoval, playing in his second game after being promoted to Triple-A Las Vegas, went 4-for-4. Bixler hit a solo home run in the fifth inning.
