Traffic is backed up on Interstate 15 at Tropicana Avenue after a crash near the Sahara Avenue exit Tuesday, May 28, 2013.

A four-car traffic accident near Sahara Avenue slowed northbound traffic to a crawl on Interstate 15 Tuesday afternoon, but it has been cleared and all lanes are now open, according to the Nevada Highway Patrol.

Four of five lanes had been closed, and vehicles were backed up several miles to the Tropicana Avenue exit, Nevada Highway Patrol Trooper Loy Hixson said.

The accident involved two large trucks and two passenger vehicles. Hixson did not have details about the cause of the crash.

One person was transported to a local hospital with minor injuries, he said.
