The Las Vegas Wranglers were defeated today by the Ontario Reign 4-2 at the Orleans Arena.
Chad Nehring’s second-period goal for Las Vegas evened the game at 1, but Ontario scored three unanswered goals to secure the win. It was Nehring’s second goal in as many games and his fourth in the past six games.
Matt Tassone finished the scoring for the Wranglers (11-25-4, 26 points) in the third period in trimming the final deficit to two goals. Justin Bernhardt assisted on both goals for Las Vegas.
The Wranglers’ seven-game homestand continues at 7 p.m. Tuesday and Wednesday against the Colorado Eagles.
The Orleans Arena, a Boyd Gaming facility located just west of the Las Vegas Strip, is one of the nation’s leading mid-sized arenas, and was recently ranked No. 1 in the United States and No. 5 internationally among venues of similar size by Venues Today Magazine.
