Police: Scooter rider dead after hit-and-run in North Las Vegas

Man found dead after crash

A 51-year-old man riding a scooter was found dead Monday night after a hit-and-run crash in North Las Vegas, authorities said.

The incident was reported about 11:15 p.m. in the 3100 block of Craig Road, near Interstate 15, where officers found the man on the road, according to North Las Vegas Police. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

A preliminary investigation indicates the Las Vegas man was headed east on Craig Road when he was hit by an unknown vehicle, police said. The driver of the other vehicle did not stay at the scene and has not been located, police said.

The scooter rider’s name and cause and manner of death will be released by the Clark County Coroner’s Office.
