A security guard was injured and a man was arrested after a pair of small fires at the Trump International that apparently were started with toasters and linen, according to the Clark County Fire Department.

Roger Fraley, 28, was arrested and faces counts of arson and burglary, police said.

"Though an exact motive remains unknown, evidence at the scene and information gathered by investigators suggests that this incident was not politically motivated," Metro Police said in a statement Thursday.

Both fires were started almost simultaneously about 4:30 p.m., officials said.

One was reported on a hallway on the 17th floor, officials said. Investigators found two toasters and some towels. Firefighters quickly put it out.

The other was reported in a woman's restroom in the pool deck area, officials said. Investigators found two toasters and other combustible materials. It was extinguished by hotel security.

Officer Michael Rodriguez said Fraley told investigators that he wanted to create mischief. Fraley was jailed on $90,000 bail pending an initial court appearance.

A security guard suffered minor injuries while trying to take Fraley into custody, police said.
