Aria-based nightclub Jewel kicked off "The Good Life Fridays," its latest nightlife concert series, last week with one of the hottest names in rap music.

Wearing a long white t-shirt with a gold chain necklace hanging out, blue jeans and navy-and-white Nike Dunk sneakers, Travis Scott emerged on stage just after 1:30 a.m., following over two hours of top 40 songs playing in the venue while go-go dancers warmed up the crowd for the night's main attraction.

"We're gonna dance and we're gonna sweat," Scott shouted as the near capacity crowd of about 1,500 fans screamed, cheered and raised flashing glowsticks. "Put your drinks up."

The 24-year-old rapper from Houston rolled through hits "Biebs in the Trap," "Antidote" and "Pick up the Phone," during a 15-song setlist that lasted nearly an hour.

While two stage assistants dove into the crowd early in the show, Scott waited until near the end of the setlist to make his move. Diving head-first, Scott was caught and passed around before disappearing into the crowd and making his way to the stage about a minute later. Missing was his microphone.

"Who would take my mic like that?" Scott asked jokingly after the microphone was passed up to the stage and the crowd chanted his name.

Scott is scheduled to return to the venue once a month. Other names scheduled to take the stage at Jewel for the new weekly event include Lil Jon, Irie and LA Leakers.
