Power has been restored to two big casinos on the Las Vegas Strip after a brief outage.
New York-New York and the MGM Grand lost power about 5:15 a.m. today, MGM Resorts International spokeswoman Yvette Monet said. Emergency generators provided base power to both resorts, she said.
All lights were back on at both properties about an hour later.
The power was knocked out when strong winds blew debris into a substation, Monet said.
Las Vegas Sun reporter Jesse Granger and the Associated Press contributed to this report.
