A man sought in a fatal shooting at a Las Vegas bar and a string of business robberies is under arrest, according to Metro Police.

Joel Nuno-Cruz, 24, was arrested Thursday and booked at the county jail on counts of murder, burglary, battery and possession of a firearm by a prohibited person, police said.

Nuno-Cruz, also known as Joel Nunoz, initially fled when detectives tried to arrest him, but after a search, he was taken into custody in the area of Charleston Boulevard and Treeline Drive, police said.

Nuno-Cruz was wanted in the Jan. 21 shooting at the OK Corral bar and nightclub in the 1600 block of Nellis Boulevard, police said. Albert Sanchez, 24, was shot to death after an argument, and a waitress also was inadvertently wounded, police said.

Police also said Nuno-Cruz was being sought in connection with a string of eight business robberies beginning Jan. 7 primarily in the east valley.

In three instances, a gunman fired shots, including a robbery Jan. 16 in which multiple rounds were fired, narrowly missing an employee, police said.

Police today did not list any robbery counts against Nuno-Cruz.
