UNLV football will be making a trip to SEC country in the not-so-distant future, as the Rebels announced a home-and-home series with Vanderbilt.
The first game in the series will be played in Nashville on Oct. 12, 2019, and UNLV will host the return game when Vanderbilt travels to Las Vegas on Sept. 16, 2023, according to a university press release.
Vanderbilt was a bowl team last season in head coach Derek Mason’s third year at the helm. The Commodores finished the regular season 6-6 (3-5 in SEC play) before falling to NC State in the Independence Bowl.
UNLV also took the opportunity announce that Southern Utah will come to Sam Boyd Stadium for the 2019 season opener.
