Rancho Drive ramp off U.S. 95 closing for Project Neon

A monthslong freeway ramp closure for Project Neon begins tonight.

The Nevada Department of Transportation will shut down the Rancho Drive exit ramp from U.S. 95 North starting at 9 p.m. The closure will last until mid-July.

The closure is required for work related to Project Neon, a nearly $1 billion, 3.7-mile widening of Interstate 15 from the Spaghetti Bowl interchange in downtown Las Vegas to Sahara Avenue.

This marks the second closure this week linked to the project. The Big Squeeze, a narrowing of U.S. 95 between Rancho Avenue and the Spaghetti Bowl, kicked off Monday night.

Motorists should use caution while travelling through the work zone, heed construction signs and take alternate routes, if possible.

For more information on Project Neon, go online to NDOTProjectNeon.com or by call the Project Neon hotline, available in English or Spanish, at 702-293-6366.
