Big plays propelled Arbor View to a 55-26 victory over Shadow Ridge in a Northwest divisional game between previously undefeated opponents.

Seven of the Aggies’ touchdowns came on plays of more than 20 yards. Senior running back Deago Stubbs accounted for three of them, including runs of 78 and 69 yards in the first half when the game was still competitive.

"Our kids played really well in the first half," Arbor View coach Dan Barnson said. "It was cool to play on Saturday, felt like a college game."

Stubbs finished with 192 yards on seven carries, but that wasn't a game-high. Shadow Ridge senior running back Aubrey Nellems piled up 207 yards on 20 carries.

Nellems struck first in the game, breaking loose for a 76-yard touchdown on the home team’s opening drive to put them ahead 6-0. Nellems scored again on a 71-yard rush later in the first quarter, cutting Arbor View’s lead to 21-13.

"He's a freaking special kid," Barnson said of Nellems. "He runs really hard."

It was all Aggies from there, as they scored the game’s next 27 points led by junior running back Kyle Graham. He found the end zone four times, including a 30-yard reception from quarterback Logan Bollinger.

Graham’s other three touchdowns were rushing scores, and he finished with 184 rushing yards on the day. Jaquari Hannie scored Arbor View's other touchdown, and racked up 85 yards on eight carries.

The Aggies had 482 yards of offense on only 30 total plays.

Arbor View will look to improve to 5-0 next Thursday at home against archrival Centennial, while Shadow Ridge tires to stay in the playoff picture in a game at Cimarron-Memorial.
