Detectives have identified a pair of suspects linked to a fatal hit-and-run crash outside a North Las Vegas convenience store after a theft earlier this month, according to city police.

The woman Michael Maria Falus was driving a Jeep Grand Cherokee that struck a man who was trying to intervene in a theft at the store on Sept. 16 in the 300 block of West Lake Mead Boulevard, just west of Interstate 15, police said. Larry Gray Junior, 43, was her passenger.

Officers and medics were dispatched about 7 a.m. and found the victim lying critically injured in the parking lot, police said. He died at University Medical Center.

Police said that right before the crash, Falus had walked out of the store with unpaid merchandise.

Falus and Gray, who police said may have fled to southern or central California, are wanted on warrants accusing them of murder with a deadly weapon and robbery with a deadly weapon, police said.

The dark-colored Jeep had California license plates, police said.
