Police: Man fatally shot during street robbery

A man was shot to death Monday night during a robbery on a north valley street, according to Metro Police.

The victim and a woman were sitting in a parked car about 10:45 p.m. in the 3300 block of Thom Boulevard when a man with a gun demanded the woman’s belongings and ordered the couple out of the vehicle, police said.

The victim took off running, but the gunman chased him and shot him several times, police said. The wounded man collapsed in a business parking lot and was taken to University Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead, police said.

No arrests have been made.

The Clark County Coroner’s Office has not yet released the deceased man’s name.
