Greenspun Media Group's LasVegasWeekly.com took home an EPPY award this week, being named the Best Weekly or Non-Daily News Website under 1 million unique monthly visitors.
It's the Weekly’s ninth EPPY award since Editor & Publisher began recognizing the best of digital news websites 24 years ago.
Lasvegassun.com was named a finalist in the competition for Best Sports Video with over 1 million unique monthly visitors for its video series “Take a Lap,” that features players from the UNLV basketball team. The videos were conceived by sports reporter Mike Grimala and assisted by Sun staffers Yasmina Chavez and Wade Vandervort.
For this year's round of EPPY awards, there were more than 300 entries competing in 30 categories.
