UNLV forward Mike Moser is mobbed by fans after the Rebels beat North Carolina in the Las Vegas Invitational championship game, Nov. 26, 2011, at the Orleans Arena. The Rebels upset the top-ranked Tar Heels 90-80.

UNLV basketball fans searching for a sports oasis during this long, long offseason can tune into YouTube on Friday and watch along as some former Rebels relive the team’s 2011 win over No. 1 North Carolina.

The official UNLV channel will show the game, which the unranked Runnin’ Rebels won 90-80 at Orleans Arena, in its entirety on Friday at 3 p.m. Mike Moser, Justin Hawkins and Curtis Terry are all slated to sit in and provide commentary and answer questions from viewers.

North Carolina was 5-0 and atop the polls early in the 2011-12 season, but Dave Rice’s squad played at a high tempo and wore down the Tar Heels over the course of the second half. Moser, a sophomore forward at the time, posted a monster stat line of 16 points, 18 rebounds and six assists. Hawkins, a junior guard, played 21 minutes off the bench and contributed three points, three rebounds and an assist. Terry played at UNLV from 2004-08 and is currently the team’s radio analyst.

The Sun ranked the victory over North Carolina as the Game of the Decade for UNLV basketball.
