One person was being airlifted to a hospital after a two-vehicle crash today in the southwest valley, according to Metro Police.
The wreck happened at Fort Apache Road and Furnace Gulch Avenue, south of Blue Diamond Road, police said. Metro reported the incident about 4 p.m. via Twitter.
Fort Apache was closed between Blue Diamond and Gomer Avenue, police said. People were asked to avoid the area.
