An 86-year-old man suffered life-threatening injuries and another motorist was hurt in a crash this morning at Desert Inn Road and Jones Boulevard, Metro Police said.
A car was headed east on Desert Inn about 6:25 a.m. when it turned into the path of an SUV while trying to make a left turn onto Jones, police said. The vehicles collided and the SUV hit a curb and rolled onto its left side, police said.
The driver of the car, a Las Vegas man, 86, was taken to University Medical Center, where he was in critical condition, police said.
The driver of the SUV, which hit a curb and rolled over, was taken to UMC with major injuries, police said. The 55-year-old Las Vegas man was not wearing a seat belt, police said.
The crash remains under investigation, police said.
