Stabbing in North Las Vegas leaves man dead

A fight escalated into a stabbing that claimed the life of a 41-year-old man in North Las Vegas just after midnight Friday, according to city police.

No arrests had been made as of Friday night, but North Las Vegas Police said they believe the victim knew his killer. Police noted they “weren’t ready” to release a possible suspect description.

The stabbing was reported at 12:05 p.m. at a home’s backyard in the 2800 block of Dogwood Avenue, in a neighborhood tucked between the Las Vegas Wash and Las Vegas Boulevard North.

The man died at the scene, said police, noting that the stabbing followed a physical fight between two men.
