Several palm trees caught fire this morning, with the blaze extending to an adjacent apartment building, Las Vegas Fire & Rescue officials said.
No injuries were reported, but at least four people were displaced from their homes, officials said.
The fire was reported about 8 a.m. in the area of Charleston and Las Vegas boulevard in downtown Las Vegas, officials said. The intensely burning fire spread to the outside and attic of the single-story building with seven studio apartments, officials said.
It took firefighters about 30 minutes to extinguish the blaze, officials said.
The cause of the fire, which did about $10,000 in damage, was under investigation, officials said.
