Metro Police are asking people to avoid an east valley neighborhood where they say a person barricaded themselves in a home this morning.
The incident started about 7:50 a.m. today when officers tried to take a person into custody near the 5900 block of Sleepy Fawn Drive. They refused to come out of the home, police said.
Police did not release details about why the person was being sought.
The neighborhood is in the area of Sahara Avenue and Sloan Lane.
