A Las Vegas man was arrested after he called a Utah church and threatened to “kill everyone” in the building after the church refused to refund money he had donated, according to a Metro Police arrest report.

Isaac Hearne, 55, was being held at the Clark County Detention Center on a count of threatening an act of terrorism, jail records show.

He was arrested at his mother’s home, where he lives, on Dec. 15, police said.

A security officer with the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Salt Lake City fielded the call on Dec. 13, police said.

The caller made threats, including telling the security officer that “I’m coming to kill you right now,” according to the report.

The man hung up when the officer suggested he get police on the line, the report said.

The incident was reported to authorities, who linked the call to a phone number associated with Hearne, police said.

He initially denied making the call but later said he woke up from an angry dream and admitted to “lashing out” and making the call, according to the report.

Hearne’s mother said her son had made thousands of dollars in tithes over the course of his membership with the church, the report said.

Police searched the house and found no evidence Hearne owned weapons or was planning an attack, the report said.
