Las Vegas police say officers OK after shooting incident

Metro Police said no officers were injured during a shooting incident today, and the subject who was involved was “contained.”

Metro reported the incident via Twitter about 11:35 a.m. near Prince Lane and Sunrise Avenue in the east valley.

“All officers are OK,” Metro said in its tweet. It was not clear who fired.

SWAT officers were responding, and people were advised to avoid the area, police said.

No additional details were immediately released.

The area where the incident occurred is a residential neighborhood just northwest of Charleston and Lamb boulevards.
