New Orleans Saints running back Alvin Kamara was seen on surveillance video Saturday punching a man as Kamara’s associates stomped on the man, leaving him unconscious at a Las Vegas Strip nightclub, according to a Metro Police report.

Kamara, who played in the NFL Pro Bowl on Sunday at Allegiant Stadium, was arrested after the game and booked at the Clark County Detention Center on a count of battery resulting in substantial bodily harm, according to jail records.

The victim, Darnell Greene, suffered an orbital fracture around his right eye and other injuries, according to Kamara’s arrest report.

The incident occurred about 6:30 a.m. Saturday at Drai’s After Hours nightclub at the Cromwell, police said.

Surveillance footage shows Kamara and three associates approaching an elevator while Greene was off to the side speaking with a woman, police said.

The elevator doors opened, and they all began to move toward the elevator when Kamara put his hand on Greene’s chest and Greene pushed it off, police said.

Kamara then pushed Greene before another man next to Kamara punched Greene in the face and knocked him back against a wall, according to the arrest report.

Kamara lunged toward Greene and punched him several more times, causing Greene to fall to the floor unconscious, police said.

Kamara is then seen punching Greene three more times, while three other people in Kamara’s group stomped on Greene, police said.

The report notes that Greene never hit Kamara or his associates.

Kamara was seen punching Greene at least eight times, according to the arrest report.

Security officers showed up and pulled Kamara and his associates off Greene, according to the arrest report.

Kamara and his party were escorted to the valet area and left in a black Cadillac SUV, police said.

After the Pro Bowl, police contacted Kamara at Allegiant Stadium, where officers interviewed him about the altercation, police said.

Kamara told officers Greene called one of his friends ugly and threatened to beat somebody up, according to the police report.

Kamara said a fight involving Greene broke out next to him and acknowledged throwing punches, according to the report. Kamara said he thought Greene did something to his group, according to the report.

Kamara is scheduled to appear March 8 in Las Vegas Justice Court.

During Sunday’s game, Kamara caught four passes for 23 yards. The 26-year-old Atlanta native has been in the league four seasons and has been named to the Pro Bowl each season.
