A man has been arrested in a fatal shooting Jan. 17 just west of downtown Las Vegas, according to Metro Police.
Lamont Butler, 29, was arrested Thursday and booked at the Clark County Detention Center on a count of open murder, police said.
Metro announced the arrest today.
The shooting was reported about 1:50 p.m. on Jan. 17 in the 900 block of Morgan Avenue, near Washington Avenue and H Street, police said.
A man suffering from a gunshot wound was declared dead at the scene, police said. The victim was involved in a dispute with another man when the suspect pulled a gun and shot him, police said.
The suspect fled the scene before officers arrived, police said.
