Fire crews put out blaze at central Las Vegas house

Firefighters put out a house fire at 2607 Arenas St. Monday afternoon near the Strip in Las Vegas.

Fire crews put out a blaze at a central Las Vegas home Monday afternoon, and one person was taken to the hospital, according to a news release from Clark County Fire Department.

Firefighters responded to reports of a fire at a one-story home at 2607 Arenas St. at around 4:40 p.m. On arrival, they found the residence had heavy interior damage but were able to put out the fire, the release stated.

One person was hospitalized with smoke inhalation, the release stated.
