Keith Urban is taking his talents to Planet Hollywood. The four-time Grammy Award-winning singer, songwriter and guitarist launched his first Las Vegas Strip residency at the Colosseum at Caesars Palace in 2019 and continued to perform there after the pandemic shutdown, but now Urban is sliding across the street to Zappos Theater at the Planet Hollywood Resort. His brand-new show will launch March 3 and tickets for his first string of performances, stretching into July, will go on sale November 12. Urban’s Speed of Now world tour picks up again on December 1 in Australia.

Fresh off a performance at Caesars Palace during the Las Vegas Grand Prix Fan Fest, The Killers have become the latest New Year’s Eve headliner announced for the Las Vegas Strip, primed to take the stage at the Chelsea at the Cosmopolitan on December 31. Tickets go on sale November 18 at cosmopolitanlasvegas.com. Other concert and event announcements this week include: The NFR kickoff party known as the Downtown Hoedown returns to the Fremont Street Experience on November 30 featuring Neal McCoy, Lainey Wilson, Nate Smith and Scotty McCreery; The Black Crowes return to Las Vegas for two concerts at the Pearl Concert Theater at the Palms during Super Bowl weekend, February 10-11; Mexican folk singer Kevin Kaarl will perform at Brooklyn Bowl March 24; and the Sick New World Festival, as reported by Las Vegas Weekly, will debut at the Las Vegas Festival Grounds on May 13 headlined by System Of A Down, Korn, Deftones and Incubus along with many other hard rock acts.

America’s Got Talent Las Vegas Live” celebrated its first anniversary at the Luxor Theater on November 4, bringing together cast and crew to pose for photos and cake-cutting ceremony to mark a milestone performance. Executive producer and creator of the Got Talent TV franchise Simon Cowell debuted the action-packed variety show at Luxor in late 2021 and the production has featured performances from some of the most beloved acts from the television competition, namely Preacher Lawson, Brandon Leake, Jimmie Herrod, The Clairvoyants, Dustin Tavella, Jon Dorenbos, Vicki Barbolak, Kechi Okwuchi, Peter Antoniou, Ryan Niemiller, Deadly Games, Duo Transcend, Lea Kyle and more. It hits the stage at Wednesday and Saturday at 6 and 8:30 p.m., and Thursday, Friday and Sunday at 6 p.m.

Opera Las Vegas will present “Voices Raised for Vets,” a free, 60-minute performance in honor of those who serve and those who served, on November 12 at 3 p.m. at the Windmill Library Theater. Among the performers will be Athena Mertes, Ashley Stone, Michael TK Lam, Christophe Kennedy and Norman Espinoza, as well as the OLV Youth Chorus. For more info, visit operalasvegas.com.
