Police: Motorcyclist dies after crash in downtown Las Vegas

A motorcyclist has died after he was hit by a car that ran a red light last month in downtown Las Vegas, according to Metro Police.

The crash happened about 6:45 p.m. on Oct. 29 at West Bonanza Road and North City Parkway, police said.

The motorcyclist was riding west on Bonanza when a car headed south on City Parkway failed to stop at a red light and hit the motorcycle, police said.

The motorcyclist, a 41-year-old Las Vegas man, was taken to University Medical Center, police said. The Clark County Coroner's Office notified Metro today that the man died, police said.

The driver of the car, a 39-year-old Las Vegas woman, suffered minor injuries, police said.

The crash remains under investigation, police said.
