A man lying in a Las Vegas street was hit by a car and killed early today, according to Metro Police.
The incident happened about 3:45 a.m. today on Maryland Parkway, north of Sunrise Hospital Drive, police said.
Several vehicles avoided the pedestrian before the car struck him, police said. The car, a blue Dodge Charger with black racing stripes, continued south on Maryland Parkway, police said.
The pedestrian, a 38-year-old Las Vegas man, was taken to Sunrise Hospital and Medical Center, where he died, police said. His name was not released, pending notification of his family, police said.
The incident is under investigation, police said.
