One person was killed and two wounded in a shooting today west of the Las Vegas Strip, according to Metro Police.
A person was taken into custody related to the shooting, police said, but no other information was provided.
The shooting was reported about 2:40 p.m. in the 3900 block of South Jones Boulevard, north of Flamingo Road, police said.
Officers found one person dead and two others suffering from apparent gunshot wounds, police said.
No other details were immediately released.
The investigation was ongoing, and police advised people to avoid the area.
