A man was killed in a stabbing Wednesday night in the west valley, according to a Metro Police news release.
Officers responded to a report of a stabbing at about 9:48 p.m. in front of a residence in the 8300 block of Mulcahy Avenue.
Arriving officers found a man suffering from apparent stab wounds, the report stated.
The investigation indicated the man was involved in an altercation with an unknown individual before he was stabbed. The suspect had fled the area before officers arrived, the release stated.
The victim was taken to a hospital where he was later pronounced dead.
