A man was killed when his vehicle struck a barrier early this morning just west of the Las Vegas Strip, according to a Metro Police news release.
At about 2:45 a.m., a Dodge Grand Caravan was traveling north on Valley View Boulevard. The vehicle failed to negotiate the curve in the road, striking the barrier on the vehicle’s left side.
The 21-year-old driver was ejected and sustained fatal injuries. The vehicle continued east on Harmon for several hundred feet before coming to rest along the north curb.
The driver was pronounced dead at the scene.
