A suspect was arrested after a woman died and a man was critically injured in a shooting early Saturday behind a Las Vegas business, according to Metro Police.

The shooting was reported about 12:30 a.m. in the 4600 block of Sahara Avenue, police said.

The woman was pronounced dead at the scene, and the man was taken to University Medical Center, where he was in critical condition, police said.

The pair exited the business and were confronted by a male, who pulled a handgun and shot the victims after an argument, police said.

Blanche was booked into a local detention facility and was awaiting extradition to Las Vegas on counts including open murder, police said.

The Clark County Coroner’s Office will release the name of the woman who was killed, police said.
